it's been 2 days since orientation ended with a bang at o'nite.
and honestly, i don't really feel like giving a summary. it's really just vomitting out facts that happened to everyone.
but i must say that in these last 5 days, i've really enjoyed the company of outofideas. su fen's occasionally violent tendencies, xinqi's high moments, dancing with wan ting for batch dance (and we did it! =D), weirong's jokes and laughter, and many many more.
it didn't start off terribly fantastically, like perhaps every other OG, and at the end of it we may not have been the best enthusiastic with things like cheering and outings, but i think all the same it's been a great way to kickstart jc life.
and so for the next few months we'll always look back fondly at the times we:
sat in the open space at J8 to play games and do forfeits.
disobeyed the teachers and stayed out late.
shouted back "what's your problem?" in hokkien when our group was called.
played the many games of concentration and that hand-slapping game.
played the actual scheduled games in the programme.
cheered for fun during the waiting times in the MPH.
cheered with the house during the house competitions.
cheered for raffles.
simply sat down and talked about everything under the sun.
and to our remarkable OGLs: thanks for bringing it together and making it happen.
it's a shame that orientation couldn't be longer, but all good things have to come to an end, and sometimes you don't want things to drag on for too long, till it loses its meaning.
no pictures yet, but i'm sure there will be (i see plenty on facebook already i've been tagged in).
so now, in about 12 hours, my JC school life will be starting.
it's a terribly important time. terribly, because now's the time when every single decision i make will almost certainly have a consequence down the road i'll eventually take. nothing much can be taken for granted or treated indifferently now.
important - well, it needs no explaining. another major exam, and it looks like it'll prove to be a tough one.
time?
there's never enough time, it seems. never.
but more on that another time. (pun not intended, but it just shows you how much time features in our lives eh.) for now dinner, and a new day tomorrow beckons.
Thanks to all the blogs i referred to (countless) for html code help :) (esp. cyn' and sixseven)
